The Nags Head was once part of the local manor when built nearly 400 years ago with a number of forges close by.
Newly refurbished but still very much a traditional village pub, it is handy for those visiting the campsite and moorings at Allhallows, just over a mile away.
The pub’s main claim to fame is that the famous painter Hogarth stayed there once for two days.
We have created an attractive family feel indoors with a log burning fire to keep the winter chills away, and for the warmer days a beautiful large beer garden with a recently built fully furnished and heated smoking room.
As well as a Juke Box and Darts Board we have regular events including live music, discos and karaoke.
